Why Poetry?

Why Poetry: The Lunar Poetry Podcasts Anthology was published in 2018 by Verve Poetry Press.

To celebrate four years of the Lunar Poetry Podcasts series David and Lizzy co-edited 'Why Poetry?', an anthology of poetry by 28 former Lunar guests. It comprises a glimpse of a large and varied archive of poetic voices in the UK.

Each piece of writing (many of which were new and/or unpublished) was paired up with a quotation from the guest’s episode interview, reflecting mainly on the creative process. The books also features an interview between David and Abi Palmer, broken into section headings throughout the book.
